He was good as recently as 2010 and has hit 36 home runs since despite being terrible. I think there’s still a chance he has good years left. I wouldn’t want to pay a lot to find out, though.

Yes, I know I said that before. But the interest in this guy, if it is real, is an utter mystery to me. If we’re looking for a right handed five hole hitter, and I think we are, do we really want a glorified platoon player? Who will cost us a prospect? Or two? This has to be a smoke screen cover for something else, doesn’t it?
