I will be really 1) surprised and 2) unhappy if the Phillies trade Domonic Brown for Soriano.

I agree that Revere is not the complete package. He won’t ever hit for power. He could still be a good player anyway. Still think it was a good deal for the Phils. Let’s hope for the best at the back of the rotation, though.

Dom Brown possible offer for Alfonso Soriano is what I’m hearing on Daily News Live. I’m pretty sure that’d be a mistake and I am not a Dom Brown fan, to say the least.

It seems to me, after the first rush of enthusiasm, that Revere (at this point in his career) is an incomplete player. Yes? He is young and so far the arc of his career is up. The hope is that the arc continues to rise as he matures and develops. Offensively he needs either to add power (not likely) or on base percentage. Defensively he is good, but even there his lack of arm strength is problematic.

One hopes he grows and becomes the player we nees him to be. We will see in 2013 if he is that kind of guy.
