Phillies are playing great (the Rockies looked awful, but wins are wins).

As much as it pains me to say it, I agree they should not count on Mayberry. He had his shot this year. His end of the year spurt is not something I trust. It's way too little, too late.

Still kinda hope we find some right handed power. I guess beggars can't be choosy. But Lordy I hope it happens.

Upton sounds great to me, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I don't think now is the time to quibble about who is left or right-handed. The offense is so far away from being good, they should be looking to grab whatever hitting they can find. They do have a lot of lefties and need someone besides Ruiz hitting right-handed. For the millionth time, I don't think they should be counting on Mayberry.

Upton, maybe, in center?

The thing about Bourne is he's another left handed bat and we desperately need right handed power, he strikes out more than most, and isn't he getting old enough that a long term contract would have us paying one more guy lots of money into his declining years?

Hamilton's production is crazy. Just imagine it I'm just a bit scared by the huge money and attendant risks. He may actually cost more per year than Howard.

There's two guys who better not be on next year's roster. I can settle for Frandsen at 3rd with Galvis and Fontenot (if healthy) on the bench.

One OF might be enough if he's a real player. Give me Hamilton or Bourn. Or both. Anything below that will mean another disappointing outfield. Sounds like they want to give Ruf a full year at Lehigh, and Gillies a full year of being both productive and unhurt.

I have to say that if they get only one OF and one RP, they will waste one more year of three top pitchers.

That will not be enough.
