Brown’s looked really good. Trying to take a double on his hit in the first was a mistake. I didn’t think not going to third on the ball hit by Utley was as big a deal.

Glad to see Howard homer. He’s been awful, but that was a big hit.

Howard dinger nice. Wish he was making contact more. But honestly, it’s been less than a year since he tried to crawl down the first base line in pain.

Brown’s arm nails McCann. Of course he gets lucky with his double. And doesn’t take third on the tag up. Was he born in a country where all they played was soccer? Looks better than last year, but geezus.

Well, to tell the truth, this is the Phillies baseball of their history. We’ve been spoiled for a few years. Gotta remember that this is the team, the ONLY team, in any sport, with over 10,000 losses. That distinction is richly deserved.

I went through the 23 game losing streak in ’61. Will still be wearing the pinstripes through this.

Definitely prefer the alternate headline. I debated listening to last night’s game on the way back from the mall but decided it wasn’t worth the effort to find the right XM channel.
