On a pace now to lose, what? Ninety?

Shane Victorino lounging and laughing during the 9th yesterday. Not what I would hope for from a player who is supposed to be a core player. Kind of irritating.

No idea what the Phillies are going to do, but I will be surprised if they trade Hamels. There's a huge amount of money invested in this team already. If they are still trying to win now, Hamels is the guy to help them do it. If they're trying to win now, trading Hamels just means they need to bring in someone to replace his production.

I hope they don't. We'll see.

At least Hamels is giving them a chance to win. It's been a while since Lee's last quality start hasnt it? Seems like forever. Tomorrow Blanton. At least his opponent's numbers are roughly equivalent.

Does that count as a silver lining?

It's looking a little bleak.

Thome traded for who? And who? Was kind of hoping for more. Alas. Jason Pridie called up. Golly. At least Pridie is hitting .370 at AAA.
