Five now, but, yeah, Halladay has been carrying his share of the load and then some. Phils are 14th in the NL in runs scored. That could be better.

Without new players added to the mix, my guess would be that the starting pitching is going to get worse and the offense might get a little better, but not a whole lot. That’s going to be a problem if it happens. They could use some new players.

So the Phillies have four wins. Doc has three of them. If he’d start more often we’d be doing a whole lot better.

Doc always makes me feel good. Have not seen anyone else like him since #32. That’s about as big a compliment as I can make.

Not a fan of West Coast games, either. It’s a little late. Halladay has got to make you feel good, though.

I’m trying to think of something to say here. Maybe that the Giants have lost their closer? Maybe that this last game may finally get the Phillies to hit a ball out of the infield on occasion? Maybe that our starters are so powerful that they keep us in every game?

But what I am really thinking is, Please, Mr. Amaro, find us some bat(s). ‘Cause we need more than one.
