I also seen notes that Boras is not happy with the Phillies. That is worth a couple million, right there.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Madson and how he does over the next few years. If I had to pick now, I would say I’d rather have Madson for the contract he’s about to sign than Papelbon for 4/$50. At the same time, it’s nice to have Papelbon. Also nice to have Thome for $1.25 million.
