Nobody knows for sure, but the most believable speculation centers around Amaro not being an easy guy to work for and wanting to demote LaMar. The Bill Conlin theory being floated around seems pretty difficult for me to believe based upon his “source” being all but totally made up and a bunch of other people saying Conlin is speaking out of his a$$, but you never really know.

The other guy who worries me, other than Oswalt, all the hurt guys, Bastardo and everyone else in the pen besides Madson, is Victorino. 186/269/329 over his last 78 plate appearances. Home run yesterday or not, how about some days off?

The Phils had a problem with not enough lefties in the bullpen when Bastardo could get people out.
