I definitely agree that this is not normal baseball. And that Lee is amazing. That was a big home run last night.

Tired of seeing Valdez and Martinez at third base. Pretty much anywhere, actually, but especially at third base.

Two things. First, these guys are spoiling us rotten. This ain't normal baseball. And second, Cliff Lee has more dingers per at bat than the Nats' right fielder.

Oh. A third. Polly getting his surgery now for the reason given never occurred to me. But dang, it sure makes sense to me.

I totally agree that Polanco should have his operation and fast. Valdez and Martinez can't be on the field in the post-season unless the Phils are up or down by eight runs. The Phillies should be looking to get creative about what they can do at third base. Phillies third basemen are slugging .348 for the year.

On Pence, I noticed his shirt wasn't completely buttoned last night. It just goes to show you. On a rare serious note on Pence, the guy does seem to like to dive in right field a whole lot. As long as he catches the ball, it's okay with me.

Pence...what can you say. The guy is still making outs in over half of his plate appearances. Unacceptable for the "savior."

I thought of you when I saw the starting lineup and noticed that Martinez was hitting 8th. I will say one nice thing about Pence...having him bat fifth allows Manual to feel like he can put Martinez 8th.

I am of the opinion that Polanco should just have the operation and quit wasting time. He goes down for a month now he would still have three weeks of at bats before the playoffs start. Does anybody at this point really think that he is the difference between the Phillies making and not making the playoffs? Either that or make a waiver trade for a 3B. Tad Iguchi anyone?
