I’m totally with you on that. It seems like the Braves should be like 8 1/2 games back by now. They aren’t. 39-21 since the end of April. Should be a great series.

Can someone please explain to the Braves that they need to start losing? I mean, who do they think they are??

Anyway, looking forward to this weekend series with the Brav-O’s. Should be fun baseball heading into the break. Oh, and I am not at all salty that we are missing Jurrjens and that we are bringing Halladay and Lee…

Volstad may be good, but I like a 1.400 SLG from the big guy.

That was fun. I actually think Volstad is pretty good. Doesn’t have good numbers so far, though. Phils are scoring ten or more runs a game at a better clip than they did in 2008 — so far in ’11 they’ve scored ten or more in 9.2% of games. 11.1% in ’10 and ’09. 6.2% in 2008. The bad news is that in ’08 they scored 4,5 or 6 runs a lot more often — 37.7% in ’08 and 25.3% so far in ’11.

That’s what I like to see from the bats. Maybe we can petition the Marlins to trade Volstad to the Braves?
