I never thought I would live to see the day when a team would walk even Chase Utley, loading the bases with two outs, to get to Ryan Howard. Turns out, that is the right way to go.

This is the second time I have seen it this year that I can remember.

And the scouting reports that now say that this is the right way to go? I wonder if someone would be kind enough to mail Howard a copy.

Phillies just win a game against a top pitcher by coming back three times to win in an away game. If they have decided to play like this, which I have not seen near enough this year, then these guys are not going to be stoppped, or even approached. Man was this a good win.

I guess that's one way to look at it. I look forward to him hitting .226 in 2014.

On a slightly more serious note, I think the Phillies can't count on Brown until he demonstrates he can be successful at this level. That might take a while, so I think they should keep giving him chances, especially if they keep on winning, but should be looking for other options for the stretch run.

'After hitting .210 in 77 plate appearances in 2010, he’s hitting 214 in his first 126 plate appearances in 2011."

So what you're saying is Brown is getting better?
