I was thinking wrong move at the time, but it worked out great. I don't have my usual confidence in Gload these days. Came through that time and it was nice to see. Another huge decision for Manuel in the game was Francisco for Brown. That worked out great, too. Francisco's numbers against lefties this year are awful.

I wonder if there is this creepy eerie silence in the dugout when Cholly pulled Halladay back for a PH? Halladay Stare was probably zinging from end to end...

for the record, correct move and Gload came through but still, pulling Halladay after 6 is just crazy-ness and hasnt been done since the opener right? haha.

I think that we can all safely say that Halladay is most certainly not in the lineup for his stick.

I saw (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/recap?gid=310621124) that it was the first time a team had scored ten runs in a game without an extra base hit since the Phillies themselves did it in 2005.

Here's the game:
http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/FLO/FLO200509170.shtml

David Bell 3-for-4, Pat the Bat 2-for-4. Ramon Marinez started at first and went 0-for-3. Vicente Padilla got the win for the Phils, allowing a run on four hits and three walks over seven innings.

Wacky game last night. Taking a lefty out of the game to bring in a righty who hits Howard seems like something the Phils are going to remember. I'm interested to see the rest of the series.

I had to do a double-take at the box score when I saw all those runs but no x-base hits. That's gotta be a record, or close to one..
