I hope the bats stick around for a while. I love to see Utley and Howard tearing things up. Brown’s last three hits are home runs, so it’s nice to see the power. Note Howard’s dinger was to left field, after the day before hitting breaking balls in crucial moments off lefties. note that the kid in right can drive the ball just a little; his second dinger was really popped. The older lady in front of me said, “My! It didn’t take long for that to leave the park, did it!”. She was right.

Although he still isn’t getting a ton of help from the offense. 3.69 runs per game in his starts compared to 4.05 overall for the year.
