One can only hope that “once in a while” is the operative term. Given last year, the offense is moving towards more often than that. Much more often than that.

I think everyone just should take a mulligan on that one. If you’re going to have Doc get lit up and if you’re going to get only 2 hits – and both of things are going to occur once in a while – may as well have them both in the same game.

Yeah. And Polanco walked. And Baez had a good day at a nice time. I like having Mayberry on the team. I think his power is real, it’s just that he’s not going to walk enough or hit for a high enough batting average to get on base enough. Unless he gets better than he’s been in the minors, which seems possible. But Mayberry/Gload available as R/L on the bench seems pretty solid. The problem is that the Phils have some corner OF problems and I think they need a longer term solution.

Ugly. At least Mayberry walked. He just looks like he should be a better ball player than he is.
