It seems like it might make sense. If Utley is going to be out, I’d love to see Polanco playing second. Unless they keep the guys they have, in which case I think they’re in some trouble and it doesn’t matter much if Polanco plays second or third. They still need a left-handed bat that can play corner OF, but if Utley is done for a while I think they need someone who can a) hit and b) play third.
