Thursday, June 4th, 2009The Phillies scored 20 runs in their three-game set with the Padres, so they didn’t really need great starting pitching. They got it anyway, though, as Blanton, Bastardo and Happ were outstanding for a team that has gotten by with starting pitching that has been unimpressive just about all season long.
