This article points out that the Phillies start their season with 13 of 16 games against NL East opponents.  Five of the 13 are against the Mets, three in New York and two in Philly, and eight of the 13 are on the road.  The only non-NL East action in the first 16 games is a three-game set with Houston.

Last season the Phils were 6-10 after 16 and had played seven games against NL East teams.

The Phillies reached one-year deals with 12 players not eligible for arbitration, including likely '07-ers Chris Coste and Carlos Ruiz.

This article says the Phillies may look at reliever Dustin Hermanson and that Paul Shuey was offered a minor-league contract but chose Baltimore.
